This article describes a citation analysis study of the use of resources by the members of a government library.  The authors provide great detail on the methods they used, which got me wondering if those in social science research could benefit from a methods & protocols database, as the biological and physical researches have.  Why must we always “reinvent the wheel” by developing our methods every time we start a study, hoping we don’t overlook something?
