OCLC and Yelp increase visibility of libraries on the Web | LISWire.

It would be interesting to assess the impact of library listings in Yelp on public libraries.  Measures of impact could be:

  • Visits to the library’s website from Yelp listings
  • Number of new patrons
  • Number of active patrons (those with circulation or usage of computer >1 in most recent month)
  • Number of circulations per month (or week)
  • Attendance at events

More indirect measures could be surveys of people about their awareness of the library in their neighborhood.
