You may or may not have noticed that the Library Assessment Blog had an entry about the NISO Usage Stats workshop that took place here in Dallas last week. I was fortunate enough to attend and found the workshop quite informative. The list of presenters was a veritable “who’s who” of those involved in the standardization of usage data of electronic products. Johan Bollen’s presentations on his work with the MESUR project was quite popular, if only because of his enthusiasm and his visuals.
The site provides links to all presentations, if you are interested. In addition, Caryn Anderson has created a “Usage Data Wiki” to extend the collaborative development of standards and sharing of ideas.
